Glass

BBC Radio 4; October 1993
Producer: Vanessa Whitburn

An accident. A phone call. A woman’s imagination. Terry and Julie are an oddly matched couple whose devotion to each other is tested to its limits in the heat of the Mediterranean holiday sun. But when Terry is involved in an accident at work, Julie’s entire universe threatens to dissolve. Glass is an extended monologue on the fragility of life and the resilience of love.

Starring the sitcom actress Julia Hills, Glass was Tim’s first collaboration with former Archers’ producer Vanessa Whitburn, who later commissioned and produced both The Cry of the Bittern and The Rainbow Bridge.
