Mum, Will the Planet Die Before I Do? | Climate parenting podcast series with CUSP

media | news | June 21, 2022

Journalists Katy Glassborow and Babita Sharma spent their careers investigating news stories, including climate change, but when they both became mums the climate headlines left them in a state of fear. How do you parent in a climate emergency? Katy and Babita decided to consult some of the world’s leading climate thinkers on how to rip up ‘parenting’ and piece it back together to fit our planetary reality.

To mark the launch of the podcast series, CUSP co-hosted a roundtable with the hosts and some of the podcast guests including Prof Tim Jackson, Rocky Dawuni and Tessa Khan.

The first episode of ‘Mum, Will the Planet Die Before I Do?’ went live on 28 April 2022. You can follow it on all the usual platforms, including Spotify and Apple Podcast. Guests so far have included Elizabeth Wathuti, Christiana Figueres, Tessa Khan, Saleemul Huq, Rocky Dawuni, Clover Hogan, David Shukman – and Tim Jackson.
