Good Life Beyond Growth – Conference
Tim Jackson to give keynote lecture at Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena, 21 May 2015
In the light of economic and ecological crises, multifaceted debates about the good life, human flourishing, well-being and happiness are increasingly resonant.
The aim of the conference “Good Life Beyond Growth” is to offer a platform for fruitful interdisciplinary debates among different approaches to what a good human life is, what its subjective and objective conditions are, and how it may be re-framed for a post-growth society.
The conference is organised by the DFG Research Group on Post-Growth Societies at the University of Jena and the Max-Weber-Kolleg at the University of Erfurt. It is taking place over three days from 21st to 23rd May. Other guest speakers include Serge Latouche, Manfred Max-Neef, Alberto Acosta and Eva Illouz .
